We officially have a 5 month old! It’s still mind-blowing to me that I am a mom, but I am enjoying every moment of it! The last we spoke about our little one, we were having issues with him being gassy and colicky. We have definitely come a long way and have seen much improvement. I mean, still cries of course, but not nearly as much as he did for the first 2 months. Now we get plenty of smiles and fewer tummy issues thanks to Evivo baby probiotic!

With those issues becoming less of a problem, now we are focused on how we can further boost Axel’s immune system. So, here are 3 ways to support your baby’s immune system development!

1. Making sure your baby gets sleep.

You know how when you get sick, doctors usually recommend drinking plenty of fluids and getting some rest. Well, the same applies to babies! But not just for when they’re sick, every day. At 5 months old, babies should be getting around 12-15 hrs a day. For newborns, up to 18 hrs a day! So, making sure your baby is well-rested will give their immune system extra time to recharge and strengthen itself.

2. Giving the baby a clinically-proven probiotic.

Axel takes Evivo baby probiotic, which helps establish a healthy infant gut microbiome. Evivo also helps baby develop a stronger immune system as it is clinically proven to repopulate baby’s gut with the good bacteria they are missing 100% of the time, every time. Evivo is the only probiotic that contains B. infantis EVC001, a proprietary strain clinically proven to create a protective environment in baby’s gut. Evivo, helps set baby up for lifelong health by lowering the pH in baby’s poop, which reduces the risk of obesity, diabetes, and autoimmune diseases later in life!

3. Don’t eliminate all germs.

There is such a thing as being too clean. I had to really learn to relax about needing things to be pristinely clean and spotless! Not all germs are created equal and keeping your baby sheltered from all germs does more harm than good. You want your baby to be exposed to some germs so they can build immunity to them. I guess letting the kids get a little dirty isn’t so bad after all!

Making sure your baby’s immune system properly develops is important during the first 6 months of life. Evivo helps set baby up for lifelong health. Implementing good habits like the ones above will help to promote a healthy immune system, which hopefully leads to more giggles and smiles!
