It is hard to believe that we have been living in our new home now for 3 weeks! But of course we’re still not fully unpacked and settled. A few minor things here and there, but we definitely got a head start on the decorating process, and a few new pieces for myself from Tobi.
I have really been enjoying the outdoor space and views we have. It just doesn’t get any better with these mountain views. People have asked, “You’re a city girl, you don’t miss the city?” Nope! I work in the city, it’s not going anywhere, I can drive down if needed. But it’s nice to come home to peace and quiet for once. Moving on to minimal lifestyle like this minimal cold shoulder dress I’m wearing from Tobi.
We went to Woodstock Furniture Outlet and put together our living room. I let Nate talk me into getting a cowhide rug. It actually turned out great. I love that it really fit into the rustic chic look I was going for. The coffee table was actually a quick DIY project. I found a Jack Daniels Half Barrel Planter at Home Depot and added the glass top from our old table. Turned out really cute! And is this simple but chic wrap dress that I have on here.
My absolute favorite part of the house is our breakfast area. It has so much character, Nate used reclaimed wood from an old house built in the 1800s to do the wall, bench, and table. It turned out so beautiful, and a perfect backdrop for photo ops now! lol Click here for this minimalist jumpsuit I’m wearing.
