Summer is coming to an end but it’s not quite cool enough to pull out our sweaters. At least not in the south, we’re still taking in the heat. The temperatures may start to drop a little in the evening but that is about it. Plus, there are a few pieces I’m not quite ready to let go of yet but I can definitely transition them into fall, like my kimono! Kimonos are the perfect lightweight layering piece to carry over from season to season and can be styled a numerous ways. The most simple to style a kimono is to go with a casual boho look. Keep reading to see how I styled mine and check out some other fabulous options!

One of my favorite ways and the easiest way to style a kimono is with a pair of denim jeans, a layering tank or tee, and a pair of platform heels. Add a few layers of gold necklaces and earrings and you’ve got yourself a cute boho-chic look! This print may be a bit more on the summery side but pairing it with neutral accessories can make it more appropriate transitioning into fall. You can shop this exact look in my Shop the Post slider down towards the end of the post.

Here are some other kimono styles that I love and have a more versatile style print that you can carry into any season. I love style that comes in a beautiful rust or sage color. These wear definitely giving me some fall vibes.

Another great way to transition a kimono into fall is by wearing it over a simple tank maxi dress. Usually, I pair that with some Keds-like sneakers. I am however wanting to try pairing a kimono with a midi slip dress and some combat boots. I think that would be kind of edgy and cute!
