I think I literally follow every makeup artist possible on Instagram, and they all are contoured perfection. And with the recent interest and spike in contouring and sculpting products being sold, anyone can achieve this look of a beautifully chiseled face. Contouring has become part of my normal makeup application. With all the different shades offered I can create a more daytime friendly look with a softer palette and a nighttime look with my deeper shades. I split this post into 2 parts, cream contours and powder contours. Here are some cream contouring products that are totally affordable and easy to use! Click here to check out the powder contour palettes.
So I have the Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit, and love it death (along with every other product they sell), however it isn’t the most cost friendly for everyday use. Hopefully they will come out with the replaceable single shades as they did with the original contour palette. NYX and e.l.f have similar products that work great and are super affordable.
SPLURGE: Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Cream Kit, $40; Mac Studio Conceal and Correct Palette, $40. STEAL: e.l.f Studio Complete Coverage Concealer, $3; NYX Cosmetics 3C Conceal Correct Contour Palette, $12.
The stick cream contours work just as great and are perfect for the girl on the go! I love these for the days I’m rushing to work or for traveling and quickly have to do my makeup, with no brush fuss. Some of them you may need multiple stick shades, or if you want a “one-stop shop” product, go with the double end contour sticks.
SPLURGE: Smashbox Step-By-Step Contour Stick Trio, $45; BARGAIN: Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour or Highlight, $21; Tarte the Scupltor Contouring Face Slenderizer, $24; STEAL: Cover Girl TruBlend Fixstick Concealer, $8.
