Hey there! Well, I am finally back from all the wedding craziness. The wedding was absolutely beautiful but went by way too fast, and our honeymoon was tons of fun too! I’m glad to be back home though and ready to jump back into blogging more and staying current with you guys. We did, however, experience an unfortunate and unexpected situation when we got back from our honeymoon. Beam, our French Mastiff, we had to say our goodbyes due to some ongoing health issues. It’s been a tough week for us, but we are trying to stay positive and know he’s in a better place now.

This weekend, it took the time to get organized and focused to get my mind off of everything and back into writing mode for new content and more. So, I figured I should pick up where I left off before the wedding mayhem. lol I was supposed to share my bridal beauty and health routine tips before the wedding, but time just would not allow me to with all the planning that needed to be finished and had a ton of work to do at my day job. I was able to buckle down this weekend and share all the things I did to get me geared up for the big day! Check it out below!

Drink Tons of Water

First up on my bridal beauty and health tips list is a no-brainer. DRINK WATER!!! And plenty of it! I can not stress it enough the importance of drinking water. It keeps you hydrated and keeps your skin hydrated and looking healthy. This wasn’t really that hard for me to do because I drink water (if not coffee) 90% of the time. Every now and then I get a craving for a Dr. Pepper or sweet tea. So, go ahead and do yourself a favor and grab yourself a cold glass of refreshing water.

Eating Healthier

People who know me, know how much I love food and to eat. I will never claim to be this health nut and that I eat organic everything because, in reality, I will cram pizza and some wings in one sitting. However, I am not opposed to cutting things from my diet to make sure I still fit in my dress. So carbs and sugar were my big items to cut back on, and not so much sugar but definitely carbs. I love pasta and bread so this was definitely a toughie. But with the help, of my now husband, telling me no every time I wanted to cook spaghetti, I somehow made it through.

Skin Prepping

Water is a major factor when prepping my skin, but also are the products I apply to it as well. Keep it simple, the key is to not overdo it especially if you have issues with skin irritation and sensitivity. I literally only used a gentle jelly cleanser, toner, rose water spray, and face oil. Simple, yet very effective.

Exercising

I am also never the one to say I work out religiously, I actually hate working out but will do small things to keep fit. I do like yoga, which I started doing weekend mornings and I go for a walk during my lunch at work. Again, simple but effective.

Teeth Whitening

Making sure my smile was picture perfect was also very important for me. I am a faithful coffee drinker, so I was very sure my teeth were less than in perfect shape for the big day. I had received a teeth whitening kit from Smile Brilliant a while back and figured this would be a perfect time for me to give it a try. They create custom-fitted whitening trays right here in the United States for 70% less than your dentist and 3x to 5x faster. Plus, they ship worldwide! So, the process was fairly simple. They send you a teeth trays and molding kit to get your teeth impressions and then you send them back for them to create the molds. This process took a little time for me because I have really strange tiny teeth. lol However, once I finally got the molds back, the rest was pretty easy. The original box also comes with your Teeth Whitening Gel and Desensitizing Gel that you will use once you get your molds back.

My Results

I started off doing them every other night and then moved to every night once I knew there were no signs of me having an allergic reaction to the gels. I kept the Teeth Whitening Gel on for about 40min-1hr and the Desensitizing Gel on for 20 min. Overall, I think Smile Brilliant’s Teeth Whitening kit worked great! I could see that my teeth had lifted a few shades. It’s definitely worth a try! Click the link below for a chance to win a Smile Brilliant Teeth Whitening Kit! Ready to buy now?
